You know you are doing something right when you are surrounded by people who support you & lift you up.
My journey as a blogger/influencer hasn’t been all sunshine but it brings me more joy than I can ever explain. There are people who hv casted stones and said how ridiculous it is. Then I’ve had a few that hv pushed me along the entire way and I will forever be grateful for you. I have met so many fantastic women on this journey, who have helped me grow as a person and they probably don’t even know it. God has shown me I am capable of great things and he continues to work in me and tell me not to give up. Most of my life I have been a quitter especially if it gets to hard. I can honestly say there are only a handful of things in my life that I have accomplished or followed thru with to the very end before this journey. I am pleased to tell you I am here to stay. Being a mom is one of my greatest joys and this is definitely one of my babies. God has been with me and in the middle of this walk from the very beginning. He continues to show me that I am following what he has for me. It’s been a divine revelation of what my future holds and it’s an amazing road ahead. Thank you God for filling this void I didn’t know I had. In Jesus Name I will continue to claim victory! Have you heard of @saaltco ? They make reusable menstrual cups. Wonder if this is for you? Let me tell you why I choose this option. For one, my cycles are horrible and I bleed thru so quickly. The problem with that is in ever pack enough tampons or I just plain forget them. Having a cup makes it a no brainer for a foggy headed person like me bc it’s always on me. (Literally) I keep mine in its ouch in my purse then once I start I never have to go digging for something again bc I’m already wearing it. I can just empty and reuse. OK I will be the first admit it doesn’t sound that pleasant but for people like me it just works. It has a natural PHbalance so there is also no dryness for my people who recycle this is also for you causing less waste. Also, no need to worry their are no toxic chemicals unlike many pads and tampons. A Saalt Cup is made from medical grade silicone and is also BPA and latex free. Win Win! #passthesaalt #mensturalcup #womensnecessities #girlstuff #shopsmall #sustainable #savesmoney #toxinfree #htxinfluencers #houstontx #kingwoodtx #kingwoodinfluencer #houstonblogger
KOS Matcha Green Tea Latte Heat up 1 cup of water, do not bring to a boil. I put mine in the microwave for 2 minutes. Next, you will add 1 scoop of the KOS Matcha and whisk it together. Use the sweetener of your choice. I used z-sweet all natural zero calorie sweetener, 1 packet. (Monk-fruit sweetener is another healthy option). The last step is to add heavy cream to your taste preference and whisk it all together. You may also choose to top with whip cream. Ingredients: 1 scoop of KOS Matcha powder 1 cup of hot water (not boiling) 1 pact of z-sweet or sweetener of choice 1-2 splashes of heavy whipping cream (optional)Top with whip cream To order your KOS click on the button below
We are all facing a pandemic that is affecting us all. It’s even been hard to find anti-bacterial spray to keep your home germ free. I decided to try and make my own to keep the family safe. Little did I know I wld fall in love with the effects. I now know it’s great for cleaning stainless steel, your countertops, stove and bath tub too. Recipe: 1/4 cup of white vinegar -3/4 cup of filtered water -3-4 drops of dawn soap -Antibacterial Essential oils- THERAPEUTIC Grade- there are many to choose from. (Lemon, Lavender, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Oregano, Lemongrass oil. There are so many but it’s your choice what you choose to use. Keep in mind this will affect the scent you may like as well. Also if you want something that will cut grease try orange oil in you spray. i used 30 drops of my main oil and 10-15 drops of the additional oils. -Glass spray bottle- Always be sure to use glass or steel when it comes to essential oils. Therapeutic grade oil‘s are so strong that they will eat plastic. Cleaning Stainless Steel- At first it will look streaky but once it dries it’s like magic. This is a picture of my friends fridge, she showed me it worked perfect for her too after I originally posted about this on Instagram. Alit also worked great on my tub and my stove. I am definitely impressed. To shop the oils and spray bottle I used click on the pic above

I love this at home version because I can make it with less sugar and calories by using low cal lemonade and less honey. When it's your girls birthday, what better way to celebrate than having a birthday brunch? When I found out this brunch was being held at Emmaline in Houston, I was so excited. I had already heard so many great things and couldn't wait to try it out. When we first arrived we ordered coffee they offered many different versions from cappuccino, lattes to coffee. I ordered regular coffee but their coffee is french pressed coffee, giving you the robust flavor of the grounds that filtered coffee doesn't give, it's delightful. Once everyone had gathered around the table we started with a few plates of pastry's for all of us to share and try before ordering our main course. Oh my goodness y'all, their scones had a side of butter with lemon curd. This was by far the best scone I have ever had, all of the pastry's we tried were great but this was my favorite for sure. Next, we all ordered a round of mimosas. What I loved about there mimosas is that they were fresh squeezed. I ordered the grapefruit mimosa just because I figured it had the least amount of sugar but they also had, orange, pineapple and probably more that I just can't remember. For my main course I had their frittata which usually comes with goat cheese. I am not a fan of goat cheese so I asked them to replace it with mozzarella and they were completely fine with doing so. While we were there they had an extra room being used for a shower which I thought was a beautiful setup, and I would highly recommend if you are planning an event to call and check it out. The scenery here is nothing less than classy and beautiful. When I first walked it in reminded me of a New Orleans/ Paris vibe. I will for sure be back. I give them 10 out of 10 stars.
I am living proof that you are never too old to keep dreaming. For some reason it is on my heart to share this with yall. About 2 years ago, after having Reagan, I knew I needed to find something I really wanted to do. The things I used to think about and put my time into with fitness goals and getting in shape were no longer an interest for me. They brought me more sadness and feelings of defeat as I had put on the pounds after the baby. I was still interested but not with the drive or passion that I had before. I realized it was unhealthy for me to obsess over my weight. At this moment, I knew I needed something that brought me joy instead of constant self doubt. I just needed a new hobby all together. I decided to start my blog. I didn't know where this journey would take me or if it would even take me. I wanted to be a local Lifestyle influencer/blogger. I knew talking fashion, things to do with decorating or the family, food, new local places to try, all of these things brought me joy. So, why not go with it. I thought to myself "what if I could make something of this?" I mean, what would it hurt to try? It could not hurt a thing, it could bring me the extra joy in my life that I needed and if I didn't succeed at it at least I was having fun and enjoying life. I told myself that everyone who has made something of themselves started out just like me with an idea who went for it. I wanted my daughter to see her mom going for it. There are so many people in the world who think of things but not everyone will be brave enough to put it into action. The ones who let fear take over will never succeed but the ones who have faith in themself create opportunity. I am not saying that everyone will succeed at what they put their time into but I am saying you will never get further, advance or find out what you can actually do if you don't try. For me I have amazed myself at how far I have come. I have taken what started as a hobby and turned it into something so much more. The growth has been slow for sure but what counts is that it is growing, and that is something to be proud of. Keep in mind I work a full time job and I am still a mom and a wife, all of that is very time consuming. With that being said, even a little growth I am grateful for. My point to this story is, if you have something you have always wanted to do or try don't let your age get in the way. Trust me, at 38 I thought "oh my gosh there are so many young beautiful girls taking over the influencing world I don't know how this will go", but imagine all of the other 38 year olds they are not going to be able to relate to a 21 year olds cut-off shorts with their cute cheeky's hanging out. They are going to be drawn to the other 38 year olds mom shorts. I don't know if that was the best analogy, but I think you get the drift. I am now trying to grow my instagram to 10k, I have been setting myself small goals and checking boxes. I am hoping by May I will be there. Once, I get to 10k I will have the Instagram swipe up feature which for some people isn't a big deal but in my world it is huge. This makes it easier for your followers to get to your links. Also, it's just another one of those boxes you get to check along the way. I am so grateful I started this journey and for me there's no turning back. I can't wait to see where I am on Feb. 14, 2020. I would love to have all of your support on Instagram as well if you are not already following me please go and do so. Also, if there is something you have been wanting to do rather its a marathon, or a business venture, or becoming the next Picasso or you may have always wanted to learn how to scuba dive. Whatever it is don't let fear set in and take over. If you feel passionate about something remember you are never too old to keep dreaming.
